This is an expressive, nuanced Syrah mixing blackberry with leather and peppercorns followed by bitter dark chocolate and spice. The 2018 Piazza Bellavista Syrah has a medium to deep ruby-purple color with floral-accented, ripe, juicy fruits and grainy tannins. Aged 26 months in 30% new French oak.

Located roughly five miles from downtown Solvang in Ballard Canyon. This valley experiences both cold nights and hot days sometimes ranging from 40 to over 90 degrees. Blending both the cool-climate of the Santa Rita Hills, and the warm climate of Happy Canyon. Ballard Canyon is in one of the marginal areas that is influenced and represents this critical mixed climate.
